Flag Care
- A flag made specifically for exterior use should be displayed outdoors.
- To keep it's rich colors looking bright, clean your flag regularly, before soiling and discoloration from contaminants "set" in the fabric.
- Do not place the flag where the wind will whip is against rough surfaces.
- Inspect your flag regularly for signs of wear. In particular, look for "normal wear" fabric or thread breaks which may occur in the "fly" end.
Flag Repair
- Inspect Regularly: Regularly inspect your flag for signs of wear, tear, or damage. Check for fraying edges, holes, or discoloration.
- Small Tears: For small tears or frayed ends, you can bring your flag into American Flag and Banner and we can help repair it for a longer lasting flag life.

American Flag and Banner Inc., established in 1917, had its humble beginnings near the Ambassador Bridge on Fort Street in Detroit, MI. After a series of transformations and relocations, the company eventually settled into its current home in the heart of Downtown Clawson, MI in 1980.
Now proudly celebrating over 40 years in Clawson, American Flag and Banner has become an integral part of Clawson’s small-town charm. Nestled in the heart of this community, the company thrives amidst Clawson’s lively atmosphere, especially during its renowned 4th of July celebrations. Standing proudly alongside our community, American Flag and Banner Inc. reflects not only the evolution of our times, but also the enduring spirit of this little city with a big heart.
